After 8 minutes, Bricin McJohnny mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Glenulra FC and the Tara FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Don Martyn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Doney McTommy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Don Martyn in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Doney McTommy saved Glenulra FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Todd Tracy in the 23rd minute of play forced Glenulra FC's goalkeeper Doney McTommy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doney McTommy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Don Martyn in the 24th minute. Kevin McBjarton hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Berke Frankson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
