Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bellaghy McWilliam kicked off to start the match. Milltown's Bhrighde Hamilton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bellaghy McWilliam in the 3rd minute of play. Bellaghy McWilliam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Bhrighde Hamilton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 6 minutes into the game, Bren Murphy recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bhrighde Hamilton. Bren Murphy showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Bellaghy McWilliam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bellaghy McWilliam struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Bhrighde Hamilton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dromahoe. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bren Murphy got free with Bhrighde Hamilton in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Trevor McCready showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barcvni McJohnny in the 28th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Dromahoe's goal looked a bit too open when Bradaigh Benson came free, but Trevor McCready reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes into the game, Darrick Dillon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dromahoe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Milltown the free kick. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bradaigh Benson to make the kick off. Barcvni McJohnny received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Trevor McCready tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bhrighde Hamilton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bellaghy McWilliam in the 61st minute of play. Bhrighde Hamilton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bellaghy McWilliam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute Tate Coyle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bhrighde Hamilton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bhrighde Hamilton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bren Murphy, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. When Gordan Colwell fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Milltown's protests and gave Gordan Colwell a yellow card for diving instead. In the 69th minute, Gordan Colwell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Bren Murphy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bellaghy McWilliam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Milltown's Gordan Colwell got his second yellow card of the match in the 77th minute. The referee ordered Gordan Colwell off the ground. Gordan Colwell kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bellaghy McWilliam in the 87th minute of play forced Milltown's goalkeeper Bhrighde Hamilton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Milltown's goal looked a bit too open when Bren Murphy came free, but Bhrighde Hamilton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Bren Murphy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Bellaghy McWilliam came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Dromahoe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bellaghy McWilliam couldn't finish the play.
