Kildoon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sheriffhill the free kick. The supporters of Sheriffhill booed when Kildoon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brenna Moran didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Braydon McWilliam got free with Hickey Gough in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Bernard Tracy's late challenge caught a Kildoon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The coaching staff of Kildoon protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Isaac Taylor had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Kildoon's Hickey Gough played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blake Walker in the 65th minute of play. Hickey Gough showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boru Ramsey, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 76 minutes into the match, Boru Ramsey notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Kildoon's Hickey Gough. Hickey Gough was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kildoon's Theobald McAaron quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Bartley Branson, made in the 81st minute of the game. 83 minutes into the match, Braydon McWilliam notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Kildoon's Hickey Gough. Hickey Gough was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kildoon's attentive Lorcan Barrett managed to snatch the ball when Donelle McLian made a throw-in in the 85th minute of the game. Hickey Gough showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boru Ramsey, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 91st minute, Blake Walker had to leave the field with a concussion. Lorcan Barrett was shown his second yellow card after 91 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. A collision led to Kildoon getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Payton McNamee hit a great ball. In the 96th minute Boru Ramsey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hickey Gough saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sheriffhill walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
