Brendon Gough took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Harley Lavine. Harley Lavine dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Don Martyn in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Harley Lavine prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 45 minutes into the match, Shass FC's goal looked a bit too open when Don Martyn came free, but Harley Lavine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Harley Lavine made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Don Martyn sent off a good shot on target. In the 57th minute, Don Martyn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Tara FC booed when Shass FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beckett McFrank didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute, one of Shass FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Shass FC. In the 63rd minute there was a penalty for Tara FC. Barclay Dalton stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Harley Lavine. 0-3. 70 minutes into the match, Shass FC's goalkeeper Harley Lavine had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Don Martyn. Harley Lavine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Comhghall Harkin in the 73rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Beckett McFrank during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 84th minute, Beckett McFrank hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Don Martyn got free with Harley Lavine in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tara FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
