Bartley Lester struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Aban McFrancise didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Killycross. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bret McTommy in the 24th minute of play forced Lavally's goalkeeper Aban McFrancise to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aban McFrancise took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bret McTommy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74thth minute of the game Boland Grant who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Killycross's Baptist Lester was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Lavally's zone, Bartley Lester stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aban McFrancise came out of the goal and Bartley Lester tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Lavally lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
