Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Logan Duggan made the kick off and thus started the match. Bil McBrand made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Ennis Gallagher sent off a good shot on target. Bil McBrand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brennon John, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 6th minute, one of Ballyhoura:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ballyhoura. After a rather tough play, Nutgrove AFC's Bebhinn Doyle got a free kick in the 10th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Ballyhoura's goalkeeper Bil McBrand had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brennon John. Aaron Holt's late challenge caught a Ballyhoura's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aaron Holt helped the player get up and apologised. After 16 played minutes Nutgrove AFC got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Holt. Ballyhoura's Bil McBrand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brennon John in the 20th minute of play. If Logan Duggan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cathal Ferguson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Logan Duggan in the 30th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Brennon John took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Bil McBrand to make any attempt to save it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Brennon John to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Nutgrove AFC booed when Ballyhoura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Seosamh McWill didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bil McBrand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brennon John, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Brennon John sped through Ballyhoura's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bil McBrand. When Nutgrove AFC's Ennis Gallagher in 57 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Bil McBrand guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Nutgrove AFC's Brennon John got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ennis Gallagher in the 63rd minute of play forced Ballyhoura's goalkeeper Bil McBrand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Logan Duggan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cathal Ferguson. That made the score 5-1 in the 64 minute of play. Brennon John succeeded in the game's 72nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 6-1. If Ennis Gallagher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bil McBrand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brennon John in the 77th minute of play. A collision led to Nutgrove AFC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Aaron Holt hit a great ball. Brennon John fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bil McBrand having to interfere. Scott McJon struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Cathal Ferguson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballyhoura. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Nutgrove AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ballyhoura had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
