Lavally's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bansha the free kick. Lavally's Aban McFrancise played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beachain McJames in the 17th minute of play. Beatty Brennan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Donagh Walker went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 32 minutes into the match, Lavally's Boland Grant sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Beatty Brennan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Phillip Harkin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aban McFrancise having to interfere.

Beatty Brennan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Donagh Walker showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 83 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Bansha's zone, Boland Grant stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beatty Brennan came out of the goal and Boland Grant tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aban McFrancise took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phillip Harkin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
