In a very dangerous position, a player in Bruckless fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 25th minute. Penalty! In the 29th of the match, Teigue Myler tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Baptist Lester got in the way and made a wonderful save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henry Mullan in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Briony John prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 39 minutes, Abban Horgan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bruckless and the Killycross players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 39 played minutes Bruckless got a freekick which was hit by Abban Horgan. After some careless play in the Bruckless defense, Henry Mullan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Briony John. The Bruckless fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Briony John should have stopped the shot. 43 minutes into the match, Killycross's Henry Mullan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Briony John narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Doney McOliver during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

In the 58th minute, Bret McTommy reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Briony John. The goal made the score 0-4. Briony John had great luck who in the 90thth minute grab hold of the ball when Henry Mullan from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Briony John stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henry Mullan's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Rourke O'Down hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Torin McAaron charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Torin McAaron the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
