The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Scott McJon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. Bansha's Beatty Brennan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Bansha from getting a goal against them. In the 12th minute, Donan McTommy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Beachain McJames put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Bil McBrand. Bil McBrand stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Donan McTommy's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. When Phillip Harkin fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bansha's protests and gave Phillip Harkin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd minute, Beachain McJames got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Scott McJon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Beatty Brennan made a huge save. Ballyhoura's Scott McJon got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 35 minutes into the match, Ballyhoura's goal looked a bit too open when Beachain McJames came free, but Bil McBrand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 37 minutes, Seosamh McWill mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballyhoura and the Bansha players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 39th minute of the match Seoirse Dunne sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bil McBrand skillfully saved the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Seoirse Dunne was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bansha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballyhoura the free kick. The supporters of Ballyhoura booed when Bansha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Seoirse Dunne didn't get a good kick on the ball. Scott McJon in the 47thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Beatty Brennan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Beachain McJames stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes of play, Ballyhoura's Logan Duggan made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Beatty Brennan was left in no man's land by his defense there! With his leg Bil McBrand managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Bansha's Donan McTommy fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Donan McTommy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bil McBrand having to interfere. Bil McBrand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beachain McJames in the 64th minute of play. If Beachain McJames had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee felt a red card was in order, 77 minutes into the game, when Ron Keegan put in a rough tackle. 83 minutes into the match, Bansha's Beachain McJames sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bil McBrand narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 84th minute, Donan McTommy made a precise shot to the right of Bil McBrand. Ballyhoura's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. If Beachain McJames had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Bansha booed when Ballyhoura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brendanus O'Neill didn't get a good kick on the ball. Beachain McJames sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bradain McAlphie during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bradain McAlphie kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Beachain McJames recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Donan McTommy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Bil McBrand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
