A collision led to Lavally getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Philip McTommy hit a great ball. Boland Grant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cathal Ferguson having to interfere. Lavally's Boland Grant got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Donagh Walker was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donagh Walker in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cathal Ferguson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Donagh Walker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cathal Ferguson having to interfere.
