Spectators: 6774 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when John Gollogley made the kick off which started today's match. Rian McPeter kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Kilcusnaun's goal looked a bit too open when Torrans McFrancise came free, but Nollaig McBrandon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kilcusnaun's Nollaig McBrandon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brigid Cassin in the 5th minute of play. 10 minutes into the game, Berrach Dimson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Meenawogary's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kilcusnaun the free kick. Berrach Dimson hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Paudraig Moran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nollaig McBrandon having to interfere. Brigid Cassin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nollaig McBrandon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Torrans McFrancise kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Paudraig Moran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meenawogary's supporters rose to their feet, but Paudraig Moran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nollaig McBrandon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brenda McStephen was out of position in the 31 minute of play, and John Gollogley capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. John Gollogley really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The supporters of Meenawogary booed when Kilcusnaun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rian McPeter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paudraig Moran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paudraig Moran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Nollaig McBrandon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Brigid Cassin notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Kilcusnaun's Nollaig McBrandon. Nollaig McBrandon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kilcusnaun's Nollaig McBrandon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brigid Cassin in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Brigid Cassin made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brigid Cassin in the 57th minute of play forced Kilcusnaun's goalkeeper Nollaig McBrandon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Barram Costello came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Kilcusnaun fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Barram Costello couldn't finish the play. Barney Mulvihill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brenda McStephen having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Kilcusnaun's goalkeeper Nollaig McBrandon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paudraig Moran. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brigid Cassin in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nollaig McBrandon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Roland Mulvihill charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roland Mulvihill the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 74th minute, one of Kilcusnaun:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kilcusnaun. When the match had been going on for 76 minutes, Meenawogary's Torrans McFrancise got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Nollaig McBrandon. When Meenawogary's Brigid Cassin in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kilcusnaun's goalie prevented a goal. Nollaig McBrandon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brigid Cassin in the 89th minute of play. Barram Costello kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Nollaig McBrandon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brigid Cassin in the 92nd minute of play. After 93 minutes, Rian McPeter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kilcusnaun and the Meenawogary players grew even worse after the yellow card. 96 minutes into the match, Meenawogary's goal looked a bit too open when Aban Duggan came free, but Brenda McStephen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Kilcusnaun booed when Meenawogary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torrans McFrancise didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Meenawogary could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Kilcusnaun throughout the match.
