The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After some careless play in the Garnish defense, Paudraig Moran kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Beag Callaghan. The Garnish fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Beag Callaghan should have stopped the shot. Brenda McStephen came out of the goal and Arthur Caffrey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Garnish booed when Meenawogary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torrans McFrancise didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brigid Cassin in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Beag Callaghan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Beary McBrandon hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. If Paudraig Moran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Beag Callaghan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brigid Cassin's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Beag Callaghan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brigid Cassin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 92 minutes, Beehan Myler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Garnish and the Meenawogary players grew even worse after the yellow card. Paudraig Moran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beag Callaghan having to interfere. Brigid Cassin did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-3 to the left of a surprised Beag Callaghan 95 minutes into the match. Meenawogary played a much better game than Garnish and deserved their victory. The Garnish players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
