In the 10th minute, Bree Holt sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Bunaw Utd's Breslin Kelly didn't even have to move. Breslin Kelly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassidy Frankson in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Garnish's goalkeeper Beag Callaghan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Dennis McPhilip had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Bunaw Utd booed when Garnish was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beehan Myler didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Arthur Caffrey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Garnish's Beag Callaghan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Garnish from getting a goal against them. After 33 played minutes Garnish got a freekick which was hit by Killian John. 34 minutes into the match, Garnish's goalkeeper Beag Callaghan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Perry Myler. A collision led to Bunaw Utd getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Philip Branson hit a great ball. Perry Myler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Beag Callaghan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute Arthur Caffrey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Breslin Kelly saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Philip Branson charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Philip Branson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Cassidy Frankson made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, Bunaw Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brigid McJames to maneuver through the defense. When Brigid McJames fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bunaw Utd's protests and gave Brigid McJames a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th match minute, Bunaw Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brigid McJames to maneuver through the defense. Beag Callaghan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Perry Myler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 89 minutes, Ennis McCollion mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bunaw Utd and the Garnish players grew even worse after the yellow card. Breslin Kelly stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cassidy Frankson's shot from short distance in the 90th minute.
