Peadar McVictor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cassidy Frankson, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. 4 minutes into the game, Brenainn Doherty was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lissanisky's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Garnish the free kick. The supporters of Garnish booed when Lissanisky was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brenainn Doherty didn't get a good kick on the ball. Beag Callaghan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raonall Callaghan went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 38th minute, Daniel Keegan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Raonall Callaghan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Garnish's Arthur Caffrey got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cassidy Frankson in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peadar McVictor prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Raonall Callaghan struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Beag Callaghan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lissanisky. In the 44th minute, Beehan Myler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Cassidy Frankson made the kick off in the second half. Cassidy Frankson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peadar McVictor having to interfere. After 62 played minutes Garnish got a freekick which was hit by Beehan Myler. Donegan Byrne kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Cassidy Frankson struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Peadar McVictor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Garnish. 66 minutes into the game, Beehan Myler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Beehan Myler hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Garnish's zone, Daniel Keegan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beag Callaghan came out of the goal and Daniel Keegan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69th minute, Babe McPhilip hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 78 minutes into the match, Lissanisky's goal looked a bit too open when Cassidy Frankson came free, but Peadar McVictor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th minute, Raonall Callaghan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Beag Callaghan. The goal made the score 0-2. In the 83rd minute, Raonall Callaghan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Raonall Callaghan might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Beag Callaghan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raonall Callaghan ran back to his position shaking his head. Renny McBjarton charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Renny McBjarton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Arthur Caffrey struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Peadar McVictor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Garnish.
