Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Raonall Callaghan started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd minute Raonall Callaghan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harrigan McAlphie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 6 minutes into the game, Gil Grant was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ballinalack's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lissanisky the free kick. After a rather tough play, Ballinalack's Gil Grant got a free kick in the 6th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Lissanisky's Donegan Byrne tried to score from far away in the 6th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Peadar McVictor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Derrick McFrank, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raonall Callaghan in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Harrigan McAlphie prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 12 minutes into the match, Ballinalack's goalkeeper Harrigan McAlphie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Donegan Byrne. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Derrick McFrank sped through Lissanisky's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Peadar McVictor. The supporters of Lissanisky booed when Ballinalack was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tipper McStephen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Keegan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Harrigan McAlphie when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Harrigan McAlphie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trien Dunne in the 22nd minute of the match. Lissanisky's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Donegan Byrne in the 24th minute. Daniel Keegan was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Críostóir Kirby kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Lissanisky's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Donegan Byrne in the 28th minute. Donegan Byrne made a great header on Lissanisky's corner, it was just that Ballinalack's Harrigan McAlphie managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 32nd minute, Raonall Callaghan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Ballinalack's Bow Johnson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Peadar McVictor narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 47 minutes, Daniel Keegan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lissanisky's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Keegan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Ballinalack were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bow Johnson to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Bow Johnson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peadar McVictor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 56 minutes, Bow Johnson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballinalack's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bow Johnson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bowie McOliver kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Peadar McVictor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bow Johnson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Derrick McFrank fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peadar McVictor having to interfere. In the 68th minute Raonall Callaghan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harrigan McAlphie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Derrick McFrank had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bow Johnson in the 77th minute of play forced Lissanisky's goalkeeper Peadar McVictor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute Bow Johnson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peadar McVictor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Derrick McFrank fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peadar McVictor having to interfere. Bow Johnson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Peadar McVictor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Lissanisky's goalkeeper Peadar McVictor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 93rd minute, Bow Johnson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Peadar McVictor. The goal made the score 0-2. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ballinalack walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
