Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ballyshane's Kevis McMichel started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Dromcunnig's Ravan Scully got a free kick in the 4th minute. Darren McJohn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beacan McLaughlin having to interfere. Beacan McLaughlin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darren McJohn in the 13th minute of play. Riley Coyle who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Bohannon Tierney when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Kevis McMichel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tevin Rogers's late challenge caught a Dromcunnig's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tevin Rogers helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ballyshane getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Tevin Rogers hit a great ball. After 30 played minutes Ballyshane got a freekick which was hit by Ros Caffey. Beacan McLaughlin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darren McJohn in the 31st minute of play. Balor Caffey kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Darren McJohn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beacan McLaughlin having to interfere. Kevis McMichel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bohannon Tierney read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Loughlin Dimson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tevin Rogers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Bohannon Tierney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Darren McJohn was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Riley Coyle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballyshane's supporters crossed their fingers, but Riley Coyle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bohannon Tierney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Riley Coyle in the 56th minute of play. Kevis McMichel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Ballyshane's zone, Loughlin Dimson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beacan McLaughlin came out of the goal and Loughlin Dimson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Riley Coyle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bohannon Tierney having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Riley Coyle in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bohannon Tierney prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Ron Beckett came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Ballyshane fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ron Beckett couldn't finish the play. After 79 minutes, Kevis McMichel made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Dromcunnig's Bohannon Tierney tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Dromcunnig booed when Ballyshane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ros Caffey didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Riley Coyle in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bohannon Tierney saved Dromcunnig from getting behind.
