Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Hayes McPeter started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Gortnagappul AFC's Donncha Murphy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Gortnagappul AFC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Erindale FC's Art McWillie got a free kick in the 9th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lochlainn John in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pat Crowe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Hayes McPeter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Erindale FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hayes McPeter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donncha Murphy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Erindale FC's Pat Crowe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lochlainn John in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute Blaithmeic Todd suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. Bearchan Matthews kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the game, Bearchan Matthews cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Donncha Murphy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In a very dangerous position, a player in Erindale FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 24th minute. Penalty! If Aaden Ghee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pat Crowe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lawrence Taylor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bearchan Matthews came free with the goalkeeper in the 31st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Donncha Murphy could save by the left post. In the 33rd minute, Bearchan Matthews got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rollan Harkin scored 1-3 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pat Crowe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

52 minutes into the match, Erindale FC's goalkeeper Pat Crowe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aaden Ghee. Antaine Bayes charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antaine Bayes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Gortnagappul AFC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Antaine Bayes hit a great ball. After having played for 60 minutes, Bearchan Matthews managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Erindale FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bearchan Matthews was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hayes McPeter in the 62nd minute of play forced Gortnagappul AFC's goalkeeper Donncha Murphy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gortnagappul AFC's Aaden Ghee got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lawrence Taylor struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Pat Crowe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gortnagappul AFC. Aaden Ghee blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pat Crowe having to make a save. Bearchan Matthews sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bearchan Matthews fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donncha Murphy having to interfere. After having played for 80 minutes, Hayes McPeter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Erindale FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hayes McPeter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 88th minute, Lawrence Taylor fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Aaden Ghee took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pat Crowe. Pat Crowe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. In the 92nd minute Hayes McPeter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donncha Murphy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gortnagappul AFC's Aaden Ghee got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
