Donncha Murphy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ardán McSteve, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ardán McSteve sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Daithi Hughes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donncha Murphy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ardán McSteve, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. When Daithi Hughes came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Bunglass fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daithi Hughes couldn't finish the play. Lochlainn John fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Todd McWill having to interfere. When Aaden Ghee came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Gortnagappul AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aaden Ghee couldn't finish the play. Lochlainn John had several of the Bunglass's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 22 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Todd McWill as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 27th minute, Ardán McSteve got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Donncha Murphy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daithi Hughes, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Lochlainn John received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Todd McWill tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th match minute, Bunglass was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shiel McLian to maneuver through the defense. Todd McWill was a little too slow when Lochlainn John got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 2-0. Ardán McSteve received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Donncha Murphy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lochlainn John struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Todd McWill didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gortnagappul AFC. Bunglass's Shiel McLian got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gortnagappul AFC's Donncha Murphy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ardán McSteve in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lochlainn John stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Todd McWill took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lochlainn John, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Todd McWill came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Gortnagappul AFC's Aaden Ghee. But to his dismay, Aaden Ghee quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 72nd minute of the match Breadan Doherty sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Todd McWill skillfully saved the ball. Todd McWill showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lochlainn John in the 73rd minute of the match. Shiel McLian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Berrin Callaghan's late challenge caught a Gortnagappul AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Berrin Callaghan helped the player get up and apologised. After 77 played minutes Bunglass got a freekick which was hit by Berrin Callaghan. Aaden Ghee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Todd McWill tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Bunglass's goalkeeper Todd McWill, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 84 minutes into the match, Gortnagappul AFC's goalkeeper Donncha Murphy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daithi Hughes. Todd McWill showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lochlainn John, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Aaden Ghee recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 95 minutes into the game, one of Bunglass:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.
