Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Comhghall Dillon took the kick off in the first half of the match. Brann McNamara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ardán McSteve, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bard McFrancise's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Todd McWill read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th match minute, Ballydivin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Art Silke to maneuver through the defense. Ballydivin's Comhghall Dillon was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 13th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Bard McFrancise struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Todd McWill didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballydivin. Todd McWill showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bard McFrancise, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Comhghall Dillon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bard McFrancise received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Todd McWill came out and tried to block the shot, but Bard McFrancise slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 22nd minute. Ballydivin's Brann McNamara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shiel McLian in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shiel McLian in the 47th minute of play forced Ballydivin's goalkeeper Brann McNamara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ardán McSteve to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Bunglass booed when Ballydivin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Braedon McStephen didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Ballydivin's Brann McNamara got control of the ball when Daithi Hughes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bard McFrancise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Todd McWill having to interfere. 58 minutes into the match, Bunglass's goal looked a bit too open when Bard McFrancise came free, but Todd McWill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ryon McAlphie kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Berrin Callaghan hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berrin Callaghan in the 90th minute of play forced Ballydivin's goalkeeper Brann McNamara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ballydivin's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
