Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ardán McSteve started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Terence Dunne during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 5th minute, Terence Dunne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Breadan Murphy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Todd McWill tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Rathscannel booed when Bunglass was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berrin Callaghan didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breadan Murphy in the 16th minute of play forced Bunglass's goalkeeper Todd McWill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th match minute, Bunglass was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ardán McSteve to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Rathscannel booed when Bunglass was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ardán McSteve didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Bunglass's Terence Dunne got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shiel McLian got free with Shamus McPaul in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 31 minutes into the match, Rathscannel's goal looked a bit too open when Shiel McLian came free, but Shamus McPaul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Shamus McPaul was a little too slow when Berrin Callaghan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 41st match minute, Rathscannel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bairre Johnson to maneuver through the defense. When Bardon McTommy fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rathscannel's protests and gave Bardon McTommy a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Bunglass booed when Rathscannel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bardon McTommy didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute Breadan Murphy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Todd McWill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute, Bunglass's Berrin Callaghan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Shamus McPaul. Shamus McPaul yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Breadan Murphy to strike the kick off in the second half. Breadan Murphy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Berrin Callaghan's late challenge caught a Rathscannel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Berrin Callaghan helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Bunglass getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Berrin Callaghan hit a great ball. After 69 played minutes Rathscannel got a freekick which was hit by Bairre Johnson. Bunglass's Todd McWill played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dane McJohn in the 72nd minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Breadan Murphy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Todd McWill. Bunglass's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Breadan Murphy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Bunglass's Todd McWill proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Bunglass from getting a goal against them. Dane McJohn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Todd McWill tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 97 minutes into the match, Breadan Murphy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Todd McWill. Bunglass's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Breadan Murphy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Bunglass fully deserved thier win.
