Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Hayes McPeter got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd match minute, Erindale FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hayes McPeter to maneuver through the defense. Booak McMichel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pat Crowe having to interfere. In the 9th minute, Booak McMichel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bram Hamilton hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hayes McPeter in the 15th minute of play forced Killashandra FC's goalkeeper Derry Willson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 15 played minutes Killashandra FC got a freekick which was hit by Gerald Horgan. Killashandra FC's Derry Willson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hayes McPeter in the 19th minute of play. The supporters of Killashandra FC booed when Erindale FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobin McBrandon didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Booak McMichel sped through Erindale FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pat Crowe. 30 minutes into the match, Flannery Mulvihill had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pat Crowe. Erindale FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Flannery Mulvihill was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 46 minutes into the match, Killashandra FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hayes McPeter came free, but Derry Willson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gerald Horgan kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The Erindale FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Killashandra FC were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Booak McMichel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Booak McMichel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th minute, Boyd Duggan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flannery Mulvihill got free with Pat Crowe in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Erindale FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Boyd Duggan hit a great ball. After 59 minutes, Tobin McBrandon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Erindale FC and the Killashandra FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Flannery Mulvihill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 71 minutes, Bearchan Matthews managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Erindale FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bearchan Matthews was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Flannery Mulvihill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute Bearchan Matthews shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Derry Willson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pat Crowe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Booak McMichel in the 83rd minute of play. If Bearchan Matthews had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 90 minutes, Booak McMichel made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Erindale FC's Pat Crowe tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 95 minutes, Donagh Gollogley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Killashandra FC and the Erindale FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Erindale FC booed when Killashandra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donagh Gollogley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Killashandra FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
