Spectators: 6774 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ardán McSteve made the kick off which started today's match. 5 minutes into the match, Ballyteige Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Ardán McSteve came free, but Troy McPhilip reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 6 minutes, Ardán McSteve managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bunglass's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ardán McSteve was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 15 played minutes Bunglass got a freekick which was hit by Berrin Callaghan. Ballyteige Utd's Troy McPhilip played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ardán McSteve in the 17th minute of play. After 19 minutes of play, Bunglass's Ardán McSteve made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Troy McPhilip was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 24th minute, Daithi Hughes made a precise shot to the right of Troy McPhilip. Ballyteige Utd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Bunglass's Shiel McLian got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Troy McPhilip took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ardán McSteve, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the match, Ballyteige Utd's Bairthmead Ghee sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Todd McWill narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Bunglass's zone, Bairthmead Ghee stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Todd McWill came out of the goal and Bairthmead Ghee tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Ardán McSteve's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Troy McPhilip was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Berrin Callaghan during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 38th match minute, Bunglass was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berrin Callaghan to maneuver through the defense. Todd McWill made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Séamus O'Keefe in the 42nd minute of play. After 44 minutes, Shiel McLian mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bunglass and the Ballyteige Utd players grew even worse after the yellow card. Shiel McLian kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Robert Dempsey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Todd McWill tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ardán McSteve sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Robert Dempsey was the one to do the kick off. Troy McPhilip made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daithi Hughes in the 56th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ardán McSteve in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Troy McPhilip saved Ballyteige Utd from getting behind. Ardán McSteve received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Troy McPhilip tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Troy McPhilip made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ardán McSteve in the 70th minute of play. George Barrett kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Bailey McFrank was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 75th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 77 played minutes Bunglass got a freekick which was hit by Berrin Callaghan. Daithi Hughes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 82 played minutes Ardán McSteve rounded Ballyteige Utd's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Ardán McSteve managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bunglass's supporters rose to their feet, but Ardán McSteve was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Troy McPhilip breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daithi Hughes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Troy McPhilip having to interfere. When the match clock showed 92 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Daithi Hughes sped through Ballyteige Utd's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Troy McPhilip. If Ardán McSteve had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bunglass's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
