Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 9th minute Boyle McNamara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boynton McBrand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute Auley Tierney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin McTommy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Glenade getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Auley Tierney hit a great ball. Breenan McPhilip fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boynton McBrand having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Barnaby Crowe during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cloughjordan Utd's Robin McTommy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Branigan Mullan in the 22nd minute of play. The supporters of Cloughjordan Utd booed when Glenade was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Auley Tierney didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boynton McBrand stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Boyle McNamara's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Boyle McNamara managed to get in a good position for a shot. After 66 minutes of play, Cloughjordan Utd's Boyle McNamara made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Boynton McBrand was left in no man's land by his defense there! Boynton McBrand was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Boyle McNamara showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 76 minute of play. Glenade were furious when Toren Moran was red carded, 80 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 80th minute of the game. One of Glenade:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cloughjordan Utd:s goal. 0-4 came in the 83rd minute when Dinny McFrank all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Boynton McBrand. 87 minutes into the match, Cloughjordan Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Donlevy McAaron came free, but Robin McTommy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 91st minute of the game. One of Glenade:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cloughjordan Utd:s goal. In the 101st minute, Glenade's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Boyle McNamara fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Cloughjordan Utd played a much better game than Glenade and deserved their victory. The Glenade players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
