Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 4 minutes into the game, Branigan Mullan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lou McBrand. Branigan Mullan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 10 minutes into the match, Mace FC's goalkeeper Lou McBrand had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bec Brennan. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bec Brennan got free with Lou McBrand in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 14th minute of the match Briain Dimson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lou McBrand skillfully saved the ball. When Donlevy McAaron fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Glenade's protests and gave Donlevy McAaron a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Mace FC booed when Glenade was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donlevy McAaron didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute, Brefni Prunty got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 21 minutes of play, Mace FC's Brefni Prunty made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Boynton McBrand was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bec Brennan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the match, Mace FC's goalkeeper Lou McBrand had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bec Brennan. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, Lou McBrand successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mace FC's goalkeeper Lou McBrand, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gil Caffey kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Bec Brennan had several of the Mace FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 40 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Lou McBrand as he didn't even see the shot coming. A collision led to Mace FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Harvey Costello hit a great ball. Brann Mullan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Boynton McBrand having to make a save.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Branigan Mullan to strike the kick off in the second half. If Brann Mullan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 53rd minute, Theobald Jameson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 55 minutes into the match, Glenade's Bec Brennan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lou McBrand narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 56 minutes into the game, Glenade's Branigan Mullan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lou McBrand made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. A collision led to Mace FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Alan McGlynn hit a great ball. Bec Brennan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 66th minute, Braden Gough hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Branigan Mullan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brann Mullan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 74thth minute, Boynton McBrand skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Lou McBrand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Branigan Mullan in the 79th minute of play. Bec Brennan might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lou McBrand. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bec Brennan ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Branigan Mullan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Glenade's supporters rose to their feet, but Branigan Mullan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lou McBrand breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 87th minute, Bec Brennan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lou McBrand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bec Brennan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Glenade's Bec Brennan got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th minute, Branigan Mullan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Glenade's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
