Turlough Scully showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herygh Dimson in the 3rd minute of the match. The audience held their breath when Boyce Deans in the 7th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Turlough Scully's left hand side. 10 minutes into the match, Herygh Dimson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Turlough Scully. Clogh's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Herygh Dimson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 13th minute Bartley Dimson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Terence McNamee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th match minute, Derryrush AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boyce Deans to maneuver through the defense. Bartley Dimson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Blanche Cassin's late challenge caught a Clogh's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Derryrush AFC's zone, Curran Holt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Terence McNamee came out of the goal and Curran Holt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 52nd minute, one of Derryrush AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Derryrush AFC. Baine McDecland shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Herygh Dimson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 58 minutes into the match, Derryrush AFC's Baran Jameson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Turlough Scully narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 63rdth minute of the game Baran Jameson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Clogh's Turlough Scully was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Herygh Dimson struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Turlough Scully didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Derryrush AFC. 72 minutes into the match, Bartley Dimson notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Derryrush AFC's Terence McNamee. Terence McNamee was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 76 minutes into the game, Derryrush AFC's Herygh Dimson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Turlough Scully made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Clogh's Turlough Scully proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Clogh from getting a goal against them. Boyle McTommy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Turlough Scully having to interfere. 89 minutes into the game, Baran Jameson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Turlough Scully was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Clogh's Turlough Scully proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Clogh from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Clogh's Turlough Scully got control of the ball when Herygh Dimson tried to sneak it across the goal line.
