Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Torey Scully started the match with the kick off. 2 minutes into the game, one of Ballyorney:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 1-0 came through a penalty shot after 4 played minutes, when Moylough:s Bourns Murphy calmly waited for Ballyorney:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. Cahir Benson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torey Scully in the 11th minute of the match. In the 13th minute Darragh McOliver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beag Dimson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Ballyorney defense, Seán Colwell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Beag Dimson. The Ballyorney fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Beag Dimson should have stopped the shot. Cahir Benson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torey Scully in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute Bradley Savic shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cahir Benson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Darragh McOliver received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Beag Dimson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Torey Scully in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cahir Benson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 27th minute, Torey Scully ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cahir Benson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After having played for 30 minutes, Bradley Savic managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballyorney's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bradley Savic was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 34thth minute of the game Torey Scully who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Moylough's Cahir Benson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cahir Benson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bradley Savic, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Artuir Kirby hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. If Brendan Branson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Seán Colwell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Beag Dimson made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Darragh McOliver to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Darragh McOliver got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ballyorney's Bradley Savic got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Braoin McAlphie was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 55 minutes into the match. After 55 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Moylough! In the 62nd minute Seán Colwell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beag Dimson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Artuir Kirby made a precise shot to the right of Beag Dimson. Ballyorney's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. In the 67th minute, Bola Gillmour hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Seán Colwell struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Beag Dimson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moylough. If Artuir Kirby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 75 minutes, Artuir Kirby managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Moylough's supporters crossed their fingers, but Artuir Kirby was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Seán Colwell struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Beag Dimson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moylough. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Brendan Branson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Moylough's supporters rose to their feet, but Brendan Branson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beag Dimson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Seán Colwell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beag Dimson having to interfere. Torey Scully sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Bradley Savic came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Ballyorney fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bradley Savic couldn't finish the play. Beag Dimson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Seán Colwell in the 90th minute of play. Beag Dimson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brendan Branson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 93 minutes into the match, Ballyorney's goal looked a bit too open when Artuir Kirby came free, but Beag Dimson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute, Baolach Walker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There was no doubt that Moylough were the better team. Moylough's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
