Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rordan Scully got the match started through his kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jack Silke during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 3rd match minute, Gortleatilla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jack Silke to maneuver through the defense. When Barhan Horgan came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Finuge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Barhan Horgan couldn't finish the play. After 8 minutes, Bearach Cassin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Finuge and the Gortleatilla players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 8th match minute, Finuge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bearach Cassin to maneuver through the defense. Reginald Dempsey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Ardán MaCollin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute Reginald Dempsey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ardán MaCollin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trevor Gough showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rordan Scully, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Barhan Horgan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Trevor Gough tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Gortleatilla's zone, Barhan Horgan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trevor Gough came out of the goal and Barhan Horgan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Finuge's Rordan Scully slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Trevor Gough. That made the score 1-0 after 26 minutes of play. Rordan Scully received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Trevor Gough tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute Rordan Scully shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trevor Gough saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rordan McCollion charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rordan McCollion the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Gortleatilla booed when Finuge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rordan McCollion didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Reginald Dempsey to strike the kick off in the second half. When Finuge's Rordan Scully in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gortleatilla's goalie prevented a goal. Ardán MaCollin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reginald Dempsey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reginald Dempsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ardán MaCollin having to interfere. With a little luck, Finuge's Ardán MaCollin got control of the ball when Artuir McSteve tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rordan Scully fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trevor Gough having to interfere. Bearach Cassin kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After 71 played minutes, Gortleatilla's Jack Silke shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ardán MaCollin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gortleatilla reached it. Rordan McCollion was shown his second yellow card after 72 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Finuge getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Rordan McCollion hit a great ball. After 74 played minutes Finuge got a freekick which was hit by Rordan Scully. 1-1 became the score in the 75th minute when Reginald Dempsey elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After having played for 79 minutes, Barhan Horgan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Finuge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Barhan Horgan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bowen Costello hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Trevor Gough came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Finuge's Barhan Horgan. But to his dismay, Barhan Horgan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. If Rordan Scully had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 88 minutes, Barhan Horgan made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Gortleatilla's Trevor Gough tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 91 played minutes Gortleatilla got a freekick which was hit by Bowen Costello. Artuir McSteve succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-2 in the 94th playminute. There was no doubt that Finuge were the better team. Finuge's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
