Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Cloghjordan FC's Brenainn Gollogley started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Trevor Gough made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brenainn Gollogley in the 4th minute of play. After 8 minutes, Reginald Dempsey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gortleatilla and the Cloghjordan FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Reginald Dempsey hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. 13 minutes into the game, Rylie Matthews was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gortleatilla's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cloghjordan FC the free kick. In the 13th minute, Rylie Matthews hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Toran McDecland struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Trevor Gough didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cloghjordan FC. In the 16th minute, Randal Coyle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Brenainn Gollogley's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Trevor Gough was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Gortleatilla's zone, Toran McDecland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trevor Gough came out of the goal and Toran McDecland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 24 minutes, Reginald Dempsey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gortleatilla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reginald Dempsey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Trevor Gough didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Brenainn Gollogley went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 28 played minutes Cloghjordan FC got a freekick which was hit by Bodibeve Matthews. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jack Silke during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Gortleatilla getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Jack Silke hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute of the match Dante Ramirez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Trevor Gough showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Brenainn Gollogley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 39 played minutes, Cloghjordan FC's Diogo Falcão shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Trevor Gough came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cloghjordan FC reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Dante Ramirez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cloghjordan FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dante Ramirez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trevor Gough breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Cloghjordan FC's Brenainn Gollogley in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gortleatilla's goalie prevented a goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Reginald Dempsey to strike the kick off in the second half. Rylie Matthews kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 73rd minute Reginald Dempsey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wojciech Tomporowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Gortleatilla booed when Cloghjordan FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bodibeve Matthews didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reginald Dempsey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Trevor Gough took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dante Ramirez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reginald Dempsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wojciech Tomporowski having to interfere. When Gortleatilla's Rylie Matthews in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cloghjordan FC's goalie prevented a goal. Dante Ramirez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Cloghjordan FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cloghjordan FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
