Toran McDecland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beag Dimson having to interfere. If Brenainn Gollogley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wojciech Tomporowski came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Ballyorney's Torey Scully. But to his dismay, Torey Scully quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 25th minute Dante Ramirez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beag Dimson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Breslin McBrand hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Brenainn Gollogley struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Beag Dimson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cloghjordan FC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brenainn Gollogley in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Beag Dimson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The long shot by Blanche Ghee in the 41st minute really tested Beag Dimson's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Brenainn Gollogley who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 44thth minute tested the skills of Beag Dimson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Bradley Savic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wojciech Tomporowski having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dante Ramirez was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Dante Ramirez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cloghjordan FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dante Ramirez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Baolach Walker hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. When Dante Ramirez came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Cloghjordan FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dante Ramirez couldn't finish the play. Herne Colwell kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Ballyorney's Torey Scully sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wojciech Tomporowski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Bradley Savic came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Ballyorney fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bradley Savic couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Cloghjordan FC's Brenainn Gollogley got a free kick in the 72nd minute. A collision led to Cloghjordan FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Coran Kelly hit a great ball. Torey Scully received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wojciech Tomporowski came out and tried to block the shot, but Torey Scully slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 79th minute. Beag Dimson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Russ Tierney, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After a rather tough play, Ballyorney's Baolach Walker got a free kick in the 84th minute. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Breslin McBrand took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Wojciech Tomporowski to make any attempt to save it. The Cloghjordan FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Ballyorney to win.
