Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Darragh McOliver made the kick off and thus started the match. Cahir Benson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artuir McSteve, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Moylough's zone, Artuir McSteve stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cahir Benson came out of the goal and Artuir McSteve tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Seán Colwell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trevor Gough having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artuir McSteve in the 12th minute of play forced Moylough's goalkeeper Cahir Benson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Moylough's Brendan Branson got a free kick in the 13th minute. Bragain Horgan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cahir Benson had great luck who in the 18thth minute grab hold of the ball when Artuir McSteve from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Gortleatilla's Artuir McSteve got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bragain Horgan struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Cahir Benson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gortleatilla. Cahir Benson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artuir McSteve, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Artuir McSteve fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cahir Benson having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Randal Coyle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bola Gillmour charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bola Gillmour the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 36th minute there was a penalty for Gortleatilla. Jack Silke stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cahir Benson. 2-0. In the 39thth minute of the game Darragh McOliver who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gortleatilla's Trevor Gough was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 44 minutes, Artuir McSteve managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gortleatilla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Artuir McSteve was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Artuir McSteve made a kick off. Moylough's Darragh McOliver was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 58th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Darrick Walker kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Bourns Murphy sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Gortleatilla's Trevor Gough didn't even have to move. If Bragain Horgan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bragain Horgan in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cahir Benson saved Moylough from getting behind. After 74 minutes, Reginald Dempsey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gortleatilla and the Moylough players grew even worse after the yellow card. 87 minutes into the game, Bragain Horgan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Cahir Benson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Trevor Gough showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artuir Kirby, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. 93 minutes into the match, Gortleatilla's Artuir McSteve sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cahir Benson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 97th minute, Dermod Beckett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Gortleatilla had won after a very even match.
