Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Tierney Hughes started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Brannen Mullan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reginald Dempsey in the 6th minute of the match. Artuir McSteve in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Brannen Mullan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Donan Scully kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Reginald Dempsey received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Brannen Mullan came out and tried to block the shot, but Reginald Dempsey slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 10th minute. Reginald Dempsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brannen Mullan having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Artuir McSteve made a precise shot to the right of Brannen Mullan. Menotti FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Artuir McSteve came free with the goalkeeper in the 24th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Brannen Mullan could save by the left post. In the 26th minute of the match Rorry Morrison shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Trevor Gough showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 27th minute, Reginald Dempsey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Artuir McSteve managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gortleatilla's supporters rose to their feet, but Artuir McSteve was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brannen Mullan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reginald Dempsey in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brannen Mullan saved Menotti FC from getting behind. Reginald Dempsey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Brannen Mullan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rylie Matthews sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the match, Menotti FC's goalkeeper Brannen Mullan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Artuir McSteve. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Reginald Dempsey stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Menotti FC's Donan Scully in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gortleatilla's goalie prevented a goal. Brannen Mullan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bowen Costello went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Reginald Dempsey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Donan Scully's late challenge caught a Gortleatilla's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donan Scully helped the player get up and apologised. Donan Scully hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Artuir McSteve in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brannen Mullan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Donan Scully kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 68th minute, Artuir McSteve got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bealtaine Gough recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Artuir McSteve in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brannen Mullan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Artuir McSteve had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Reginald Dempsey came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Gortleatilla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reginald Dempsey couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Gortleatilla's Darrick Walker got a free kick in the 86th minute. Trevor Gough was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Tierney Hughes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tierney Hughes really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. Gortleatilla's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
