Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) If Braoin McPhilip had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rylee Rogers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Braoin McPhilip in the 7th minute of the match. Duff McPhil's late challenge caught a Knockgaffon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Duff McPhil helped the player get up and apologised. In the 9th match minute, Gortnasate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duff McPhil to maneuver through the defense. Casey Coyle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rylee Rogers having to interfere. Harkin McVictor, 17 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Gortnasate's Beothach McAlphie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rorke Morrison in the 23rd minute of play. In the 27th minute, Banvan Benson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rylee Rogers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casey Coyle, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Banvan Benson got free with Beothach McAlphie in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Casey Coyle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Casey Coyle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rylee Rogers having to interfere. The supporters of Gortnasate booed when Knockgaffon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brogan McBrand didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Casey Coyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the game, Braoin McPhilip cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Rylee Rogers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Gortnasate were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Banvan Benson made the kick off in the second half. Banvan Benson struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Beothach McAlphie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Knockgaffon. After a rather tough play, Gortnasate's Gavin Cassin got a free kick in the 57th minute. If Kaine Dempsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute, Banvan Benson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 77th play minute Casey Coyle came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Rylee Rogers. 0-2. 85 minutes into the match, Knockgaffon's Banvan Benson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Beothach McAlphie narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Casey Coyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rorke Morrison kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. When Casey Coyle came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Gortnasate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Casey Coyle couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Gortnasate had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
