Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Harrington Dillon started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 11th minute, Harrington Dillon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A sloppy throw-in by Harkin McVictor in the 18th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Drimmo's Scot Moran. Bergin Benson hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Casey Coyle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teris Mullan having to interfere. In the 36th minute Braoin McPhilip shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teris Mullan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Drimmo's Harrington Dillon got a free kick in the 37th minute. Teris Mullan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cahir McGlenn in the 41st minute of play. Gortnasate's Beothach McAlphie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Gortnasate from getting a goal against them. Harrington Dillon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Braoin McPhilip to strike the kick off in the second half. Teris Mullan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Braoin McPhilip in the 52nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Drimmo's Scot Moran got a free kick in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braoin McPhilip in the 54th minute of play forced Drimmo's goalkeeper Teris Mullan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Drimmo's Ferdia Bayes got a free kick in the 58th minute. Teris Mullan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Braoin McPhilip in the 59th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gavin Cassin got free with Teris Mullan in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 65 minutes, Scot Moran mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Drimmo and the Gortnasate players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 65 played minutes Drimmo got a freekick which was hit by Scot Moran. Bergin Benson's late challenge caught a Gortnasate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bergin Benson helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Gortnasate booed when Drimmo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bergin Benson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute of the match Harkin McVictor shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Teris Mullan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Harkin McVictor got a throw-in 69 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Gavin Cassin. Drimmo's Scot Moran got his second yellow card of the match in the 75th minute. The referee ordered Scot Moran off the ground. Cahir McGlenn charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cahir McGlenn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 81st minute, Cahir McGlenn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 87th minute, Gortnasate's Braoin McPhilip ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Teris Mullan. Teris Mullan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2.
