Breenan Cassin kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, David McPhil notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Cahermacun AFC's Tipraite Mulvihill. Tipraite Mulvihill was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. David McPhil struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Bellaghy McLian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cahermacun AFC's Tadhg Kelly got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bellaghy McLian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Tipraite Mulvihill tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If David McPhil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tadhg Dimson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tadhg Kelly, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bellaghy McLian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tipraite Mulvihill having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Donoghue McGlynn hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Cahermacun AFC defense, David McPhil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tipraite Mulvihill. The Cahermacun AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tipraite Mulvihill should have stopped the shot. Tipraite Mulvihill showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bellaghy McLian in the 62nd minute of the match. Cahermacun AFC's Tipraite Mulvihill played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David McPhil in the 63rd minute of play. Gerard Costello kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. If Gerard Costello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, Cahermacun AFC's Bryan Willson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tadhg Dimson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 72 minutes Looscaun Utd's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ciarán Glen Crowe who took care of the corner kick. Tadhg Kelly's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tadhg Dimson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Donoghue McGlynn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Tadhg Dimson made a huge save. When Looscaun Utd's David McPhil in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
