Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dewain McFrank in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnold Deery prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cloghoge AFC's Dewain McFrank got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Donahue McAaron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute, Rollin Callaghan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Arnold Deery. The goal made the score 1-0. Rollin Callaghan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Arnold Deery tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Egan McStephen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Terrence Hutton having to interfere. Egan McStephen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Terrence Hutton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Terrence Hutton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Breccan McTom in the 26th minute of the match. Faughary AFC's Arnold Deery proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Faughary AFC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Faughary AFC's Treno McFrank got a free kick in the 31st minute. Dewain McFrank struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Arnold Deery didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cloghoge AFC. During the 33rd minute of the match Treno McFrank completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Treno McFrank a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Faughary AFC's Treno McFrank got a free kick in the 34th minute. When Donahue McAaron came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Cloghoge AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donahue McAaron couldn't finish the play. 38 minutes into the match, Faughary AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Dewain McFrank came free, but Arnold Deery reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Egan McStephen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dewain McFrank to strike the kick off in the second half. Faughary AFC's Arnold Deery played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donahue McAaron in the 61st minute of play. Arnold Deery stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dewain McFrank's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. In the 64th minute Donahue McAaron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnold Deery saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Braden MaCollin's late challenge caught a Cloghoge AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Braden MaCollin helped the player get up and apologised. Donegan Dillon took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arnold Deery. Faughary AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some careless play in the Faughary AFC defense, Donahue McAaron kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnold Deery. The Faughary AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnold Deery should have stopped the shot. Egan McStephen did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Terrence Hutton 79 minutes into the match. Arnold Deery showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dewain McFrank in the 82nd minute of the match. Faughary AFC's Egan McStephen got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Beacan Gough received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Terrence Hutton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Donahue McAaron got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dewain McFrank struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Arnold Deery didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cloghoge AFC. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cloghoge AFC had won after a very even match.
