Ryan Caffey who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 3rdth minute tested the skills of Arnold Deery when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Annaghgerry's Bairrionn McDecland got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryan Caffey in the 8th minute of play forced Faughary AFC's goalkeeper Arnold Deery to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th match minute, Faughary AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trevor McPaul to maneuver through the defense. After 11 minutes, Treno McFrank mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Faughary AFC and the Annaghgerry players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Faughary AFC's Treno McFrank got a free kick in the 12th minute. Ailín Dimson was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 12th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Gilian Grant took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Shey Dimson. Annaghgerry's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 17 played minutes Annaghgerry got a freekick which was hit by Samuel McJon. Coran Caffey charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Coran Caffey the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Annaghgerry's Coran Caffey got a free kick in the 20th minute. Gilian Grant took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Shey Dimson. Annaghgerry's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Breccan McTom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shey Dimson having to interfere. Ryan Caffey was extremely unlucky when he, in the 25th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 28 minutes of play, Annaghgerry's Ryan Caffey made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnold Deery was left in no man's land by his defense there! Coran Caffey got his second yellow card in the match during the 30th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 31st match minute, Annaghgerry was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Coran Caffey to maneuver through the defense. Shey Dimson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breccan McTom, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Annaghgerry's Shey Dimson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Treno McFrank in the 38th minute of play. Faughary AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gilian Grant in the 44th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Trevor McPaul heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breccan McTom in the 47th minute of play forced Annaghgerry's goalkeeper Shey Dimson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ryan Caffey stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Coran Doherty kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Egan McStephen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Shey Dimson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Coran Doherty struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Arnold Deery didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Annaghgerry. A collision led to Faughary AFC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Beacan Gough hit a great ball. Arnold Deery showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ryan Caffey, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. 73 minutes into the game, one of Annaghgerry:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Shey Dimson went to the wrong direction when Gilian Grant was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Annaghgerry's zone, Egan McStephen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Shey Dimson came out of the goal and Egan McStephen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 82 minutes into the match, Annaghgerry's goal looked a bit too open when Breccan McTom came free, but Shey Dimson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Shey Dimson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Breccan McTom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute, Faughary AFC's Breccan McTom ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Shey Dimson. Shey Dimson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Egan McStephen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shey Dimson having to interfere. Breccan McTom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Breccan McTom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Breccan McTom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Shey Dimson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Faughary AFC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Annaghgerry to leave the ground with a draw.
