Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Gordan Caffrey made the kick off which started today's match. Bray Jameson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bhrighde McWillie in the 4th minute of the match. When Brennan Delaney fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Slieveanulty Utd's protests and gave Brennan Delaney a yellow card for diving instead. After 4 played minutes Slieveanulty Utd got a freekick which was hit by Brennan Delaney. After 6 minutes, Gordan Caffrey made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Slieveanulty Utd's Bray Jameson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Dunany's zone, Kain McMichel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bell McBjarton came out of the goal and Kain McMichel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dunany's Bhrighde McWillie got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 18 minutes of play Slieveanulty Utd's Brennan Delaney was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 19th minute, Brennan Delaney hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gordan Caffrey in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bray Jameson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Gordan Caffrey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dunany's supporters rose to their feet, but Gordan Caffrey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bray Jameson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kain McMichel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 34thth minute, Bell McBjarton skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 42 played minutes Dunany got a freekick which was hit by Dugan McCollion.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kain McMichel to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dugan McCollion during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kain McMichel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bell McBjarton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play.
