Spectators: 6769 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 0) Bran Scully started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Gordan Caffrey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bowie Delaney having to make a save. If Bran Scully had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 12 minutes, Flann McPhilip mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dunany and the Muineagh players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 11th minute of the game. One of Dunany:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Muineagh:s goal. After having played for 17 minutes, Rannal Jameson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Muineagh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rannal Jameson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 29th minute of the game Gaynor Colwell made a throw-in which Rannal Jameson played forward. When Dunany's Gordan Caffrey in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Muineagh's goalie prevented a goal. When Bhrighde McWillie came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Dunany fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bhrighde McWillie couldn't finish the play. Muineagh's Bowie Delaney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bhrighde McWillie in the 35th minute of play. The throw-in from Berach McLaughlin in the 37th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Dunany's Dane Coyle. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Berach McLaughlin during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Muineagh getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Berach McLaughlin hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gordan Caffrey in the 39th minute of play forced Muineagh's goalkeeper Bowie Delaney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th match minute, Dunany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dugan McCollion to maneuver through the defense.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gordan Caffrey made a kick off. 57 minutes into the game, Daithi Dillon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dunany's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Muineagh the free kick. The supporters of Muineagh booed when Dunany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daithi Dillon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rannal Jameson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bell McBjarton having to interfere. Bearach Mullan's late challenge caught a Muineagh's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bearach Mullan helped the player get up and apologised. Bearach Mullan hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Dane Coyle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bowie Delaney having to interfere. Bhrighde McWillie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bowie Delaney having to interfere. Bowie Delaney showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gordan Caffrey, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Gordan Caffrey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Bowie Delaney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 82 played minutes Muineagh got a freekick which was hit by Berach McLaughlin. Gordan Caffrey in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bowie Delaney, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Bhrighde McWillie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Bowie Delaney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Muineagh's zone, Gordan Caffrey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bowie Delaney came out of the goal and Gordan Caffrey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gordan Caffrey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Bowie Delaney made a huge save. Muineagh's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
