Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Cavan Utd's Rourke McGlynn started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rourke McGlynn made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 8thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Conaill Coyle would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Brazil Hunt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rowan Walker went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Brazil Hunt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daithi Murphy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Rourke McGlynn could shoot a difficult shot in the 21st minute, which Conaill Coyle however easily saved by the left post. Brazil Hunt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carrigan McMichel went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Brazil Hunt came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Rathkip's Toren Gillmour. But to his dismay, Toren Gillmour quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 40 minutes into the game, Rathkip's Toren Gillmour nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Brazil Hunt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. 43 minutes into the match, Cavan Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Daithi Murphy came free, but Brazil Hunt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 45 played minutes, Rathkip's Cleary McWillie shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Brazil Hunt came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rathkip reached it. After the first half Rathkip were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rowan Walker stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Toren Gillmour received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Brazil Hunt came out and tried to block the shot, but Toren Gillmour slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 53rd minute. Brazil Hunt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Toren Gillmour went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Toren Gillmour got free with Brazil Hunt in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Toren Gillmour could shoot a difficult shot in the 73rd minute, which Brazil Hunt however easily saved by the left post. 77 minutes into the match, Carrigan McMichel dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Brazil Hunt, 0-7. Branigan Caffrey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Brazil Hunt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cavan Utd's Brazil Hunt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Cavan Utd from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bearnard McPeter in the 90th minute of play forced Rathkip's goalkeeper Conaill Coyle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rathkip played a much better game than Cavan Utd and deserved their victory. The Cavan Utd players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
