After 8 minutes of play, Derrybeg's Braddon Cronin made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Barrie Moran was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Derrybeg getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Jarlath McJames hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the match, Corray's goal looked a bit too open when Beale Dalton came free, but Barrie Moran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Barrie Moran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Braddon Cronin in the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Davie Gough fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Davie Goughs short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Shey Mullan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Derrybeg getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Jarlath McJames hit a great ball. Davie Gough fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shey Mullan having to interfere. Barrie Moran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Braddon Cronin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Toren Coyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 36th minute, Petran McJon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th minute Braddon Cronin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barrie Moran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Toren Coyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 48 minutes into the game, Barra McWill cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Barrie Moran was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Toren Coyle to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Toren Coyle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Shey Mullan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After 60 minutes, Becc McOliver mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corray and the Derrybeg players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Corray getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Becc McOliver hit a great ball. Corray were furious when Becc McOliver was red carded, 63 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The supporters of Derrybeg booed when Corray was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Becc McOliver didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Corray's zone, Alfred McBrand stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barrie Moran came out of the goal and Alfred McBrand tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 74th minute, Davie Gough got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Derrybeg's zone, Davie Gough stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Shey Mullan came out of the goal and Davie Gough tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 80th minute, Brendon Silke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barrie Moran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Barra McWill in the 83rd minute. Barra McWill could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Barrie Moran made a huge save. In the 87th match minute, Derrybeg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarlath McJames to maneuver through the defense. Brendon Silke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shey Mullan having to interfere. The Derrybeg players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Corray from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
