Spectators: 6780 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1780, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Braddon Cronin made the kick off which started today's match. Beale Dalton charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Beale Dalton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 4th match minute, Derrybeg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beale Dalton to maneuver through the defense. 5 minutes into the game, Boyle's Keegan McLiam nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Shey Mullan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, Derrybeg's goal looked a bit too open when Hickey Tierney came free, but Shey Mullan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hickey Tierney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shey Mullan came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Boyle's Hickey Tierney. But to his dismay, Hickey Tierney quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 28th minute, Keegan McLiam ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Shey Mullan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Gearard Sheridan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shey Mullan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hickey Tierney in the 42nd minute of play. Shey Mullan came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Boyle's Keegan McLiam. But to his dismay, Keegan McLiam quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. The Derrybeg players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Boyle were winning 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hickey Tierney stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Keegan McLiam could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Shey Mullan made a huge save. If Keegan McLiam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 64th match minute, Derrybeg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Braddon Cronin to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the match, Hickey Tierney dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Shey Mullan, 0-6. In the 74th minute, Bhrighde Lavine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute of the match Alfred McBrand sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rory McDonald skillfully saved the ball. Derrybeg's Shey Mullan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Derrybeg from getting a goal against them. Rory McDonald stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Braddon Cronin's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Derrybeg's goalkeeper Shey Mullan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Keegan McLiam. Shey Mullan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Keegan McLiam in the 85th minute. Keegan McLiam's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 88thth minute, Shey Mullan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Shey Mullan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hickey Tierney, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 91 minutes into the match, Derrybeg's goalkeeper Shey Mullan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Keegan McLiam. Hickey Tierney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute, Barra McWill made a precise shot to the right of Rory McDonald. Boyle's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. The Derrybeg fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Boyle were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
