Riddoc McOliver was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ballaghkeen's Riddoc McOliver played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Binean McPhil in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th match minute, Ballaghkeen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beanon McMichel to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harry Benson in the 31st minute of play forced Courtown's goalkeeper Beehan McBjarton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Binean McPhil scored 3-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Riddoc McOliver, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 58 minutes into the match, Ballaghkeen's goal looked a bit too open when Binean McPhil came free, but Riddoc McOliver reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Courtown's Torey McVictor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Riddoc McOliver narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 71st minute, Torey McVictor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Riddoc McOliver was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. 76 minutes into the match, Courtown's Binean McPhil sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Riddoc McOliver narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 78 minutes into the game, Courtown's Binean McPhil nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Riddoc McOliver made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. In the 80th minute, Boethis McBjarton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Riddoc McOliver took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Binean McPhil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the match, Ballaghkeen's goal looked a bit too open when Torey McVictor came free, but Riddoc McOliver reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 91 played minutes Courtown got a freekick which was hit by Seán Rogers. Coileán Lavine blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Beehan McBjarton having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Courtown had won after a very even match.
