Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Braddon Cronin started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Derrybeg's goalkeeper Shey Mullan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Beanon McMichel. After 3 minutes, Darren Dillon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Derrybeg and the Ballaghkeen players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 8 minutes, Harry Benson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballaghkeen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harry Benson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17th minute, Binean Murphy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Berk Grant kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Gearard McMichel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Harry Benson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Shey Mullan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Derrybeg's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Harry Benson 28 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Coileán Lavine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shey Mullan having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ballaghkeen's Beanon McMichel got a free kick in the 36th minute. Ballaghkeen's Binean Murphy shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 42nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Shey Mullan but with some difficulty. In the 43rd minute, Fachtna Lavine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Braddon Cronin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Braddon Cronin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Derrybeg's goalkeeper Shey Mullan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Coileán Lavine managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ballaghkeen's supporters rose to their feet, but Coileán Lavine was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shey Mullan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 56 minutes into the match, Harry Benson notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Derrybeg's Shey Mullan. Shey Mullan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Harry Benson in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Shey Mullan saved Derrybeg from getting behind. Coileán Lavine recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Harry Benson in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Shey Mullan saved Derrybeg from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Derrybeg's Beale Dalton got a free kick in the 69th minute. When Ballaghkeen's Harry Benson in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Derrybeg's goalie prevented a goal. Shey Mullan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Coileán Lavine, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After 76 minutes, Beale Dalton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Derrybeg and the Ballaghkeen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Beale Dalton hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. 84 minutes into the match, Ballaghkeen's goal looked a bit too open when Braddon Cronin came free, but Riddoc McOliver reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute Coileán Lavine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shey Mullan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Shey Mullan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Coileán Lavine in the 86th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Coileán Lavine's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Shey Mullan was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Derrybeg's Shey Mullan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harry Benson in the 95th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Derrybeg players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ballaghkeen.
