The supporters of Ballinaspig AFC booed when Fodry was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bantry McJohn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kealan Hutton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had been going on for 48 minutes, Fodry's Rylie Palmer got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Enda Cassin. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Donn Hunt to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kealan Hutton in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Enda Cassin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Kealan Hutton came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Fodry fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kealan Hutton couldn't finish the play. Bailey McCollion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Enda Cassin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fodry's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
