Conaill Coyle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gearard Sheridan in the 7th minute of the match. Boyle's Rory McDonald played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rowan Walker in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute Carrigan McMichel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rory McDonald saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dane Ryan kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After 39 played minutes Rathkip got a freekick which was hit by Cleary McWillie. In the 42nd minute, Hickey Tierney reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Conaill Coyle. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 46th minute Rowan Walker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rory McDonald saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rowan Walker to make the kick off. Rathkip's Conaill Coyle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keegan McLiam in the 54th minute of play. 54 minutes into the game, Keegan McLiam cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Conaill Coyle was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rory McDonald made an important save on a dangerous shot by Toren Gillmour in the 57th minute. Keegan McLiam's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Conaill Coyle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. When Hickey Tierney came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Boyle fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hickey Tierney couldn't finish the play. Patty McIan's late challenge caught a Boyle's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patty McIan helped the player get up and apologised. Conaill Coyle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Keegan McLiam in the 66th minute of the match. Daithi Murphy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Rory McDonald made a huge save. Gearard Sheridan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rathkip's Rowan Walker got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 84th minute, Daithi Murphy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 90 played minutes Boyle got a freekick which was hit by Bhrighde Lavine. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rowan Walker in the 95th minute of play forced Boyle's goalkeeper Rory McDonald to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rory McDonald didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 96th minute, which inside left pole to 3-1. Boyle were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Rathkip for a fine match.
