Spectators: 6759 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1759, VIP seats: 0) Donn Hunt made the kick off and thus started the match. Shey Mullan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bearach McCollion in the 3rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Barra McWill got free with Enda Cassin in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 7th minute, Bearach McCollion got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Enda Cassin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Braddon Cronin, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Enda Cassin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Braddon Cronin in the 22nd minute of the match. Alexander Willson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Shey Mullan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Aaden McPhil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36th minute Braddon Cronin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enda Cassin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Bearach McCollion came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Ballinaspig AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bearach McCollion couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After 53 minutes Ballinaspig AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alfred McBrand who took care of the corner kick. After a rather tough play, Ballinaspig AFC's Alexander Willson got a free kick in the 58th minute. The supporters of Ballinaspig AFC booed when Derrybeg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blamhac Caffrey didn't get a good kick on the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Donn Hunt notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Derrybeg's Shey Mullan. Shey Mullan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Derrybeg booed when Ballinaspig AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Willson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfred McBrand kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Donn Hunt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shey Mullan having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Jarlath McJames hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Derrybeg's zone, Donn Hunt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Shey Mullan came out of the goal and Donn Hunt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Braddon Cronin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Barra McWill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute of the match, Donn Hunt tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Shey Mullan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Bearach McCollion recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
