Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Toren Coyle started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Becc McOliver hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. The supporters of Courtown booed when Corray was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Savic didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute of the match Pierson Murphy shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Barrie Moran showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 8th minute, Beatty Willson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Davie Gough came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Corray fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Davie Gough couldn't finish the play. Barrie Moran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Binean McPhil in the 12th minute of play. When Toren Coyle came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Corray fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Toren Coyle couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Davie Gough managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corray's supporters rose to their feet, but Davie Gough was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beehan McBjarton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Beehan McBjarton didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Toren Coyle went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Courtown's Binean McPhil got a free kick in the 27th minute. Corray's Barrie Moran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Corray from getting a goal against them. Toren Coyle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Beehan McBjarton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Courtown's Danann Doherty got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Toren Coyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37thth minute of the game Binean McPhil who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Corray's Barrie Moran was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Barrie Moran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Binean McPhil in the 38th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Corray's Brendon Silke got a free kick in the 39th minute. Barrie Moran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Binean McPhil in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Courtown's Danann Doherty dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Binean McPhil to strike the kick off in the second half. Barrie Moran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torey McVictor, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 54 minutes into the match, Courtown's goalkeeper Beehan McBjarton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Davie Gough. Davie Gough came free with the goalkeeper in the 59th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Beehan McBjarton could save by the left post. In the 61st minute, Binean McPhil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Davie Gough sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Toren Coyle received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Beehan McBjarton came out and tried to block the shot, but Toren Coyle slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 69th minute. After 73 minutes, Ailill Gough mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corray and the Courtown players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 73rd match minute, Corray was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ailill Gough to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Binean McPhil's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Barrie Moran was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. When Ailill Gough came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Corray fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ailill Gough couldn't finish the play. Toren Coyle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Davie Gough's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 82ndth minute, Beehan McBjarton skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Toren Coyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Beehan McBjarton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Davie Gough in the 85th minute. Brendon Silke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beehan McBjarton having to interfere. After some careless play in the Courtown defense, Davie Gough kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Beehan McBjarton. The Courtown fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Beehan McBjarton should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Courtown's Beatty Willson got a free kick in the 94th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Corray eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
