In the 10th match minute, Ballinaspig AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Willson to maneuver through the defense. Cleary McOliver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Donn Hunt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Torrans Matthews showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donn Hunt, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. When Mullan AFC's Cleary McOliver in 29 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Enda Cassin guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Cleary McOliver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Shamus McJames had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Cleary McOliver ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Enda Cassin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Enda Cassin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cleary McOliver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The audience was convinced that Bearach McCollion's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Torrans Matthews was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Donn Hunt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Torrans Matthews having to make a save. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Mullan AFC's goalkeeper Torrans Matthews, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 65 minutes into the match, Ballinaspig AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Cleary McOliver came free, but Enda Cassin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Donn Hunt during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 67 played minutes Ballinaspig AFC got a freekick which was hit by Donn Hunt. Shamus McJamess short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Enda Cassin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 69 minutes into the game, Shamus McJames lined in a short shot 0-2 behind a frustrated Enda Cassin. Cleary McOliver succeeded in the game's 75th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Ballinaspig AFC's zone, Cleary McOliver stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enda Cassin came out of the goal and Cleary McOliver tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Enda Cassin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cleary McOliver, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ballinaspig AFC's zone, Cleary McOliver stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The attack was good, but when Shamus McJames in the 86th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. A collision led to Ballinaspig AFC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Alexander Willson hit a great ball. 93 minutes into the match, Ballinaspig AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Cleary McOliver came free, but Enda Cassin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Enda Cassin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cleary McOliver in the 96th minute of play. Enda Cassin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cleary McOliver, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute.
