Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rylee McLiam got the match started through his kick off. Ferrybank Utd's Gilbert McGlenn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rylee McLiam in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th match minute, Ferrybank Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roland Gough to maneuver through the defense. Blaithmeic Hughes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert McGlenn having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rylee McLiam in the 16th minute of play forced Ferrybank Utd's goalkeeper Gilbert McGlenn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Harrington Kirby might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfred Duggan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Harrington Kirby ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 23rd minute, Harrington Kirby ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfred Duggan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harrington Kirby in the 33rd minute of play forced Barnacahoge's goalkeeper Alfred Duggan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lochlainn Caffrey's late challenge caught a Barnacahoge's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lochlainn Caffrey helped the player get up and apologised. Lochlainn Caffrey kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Gilbert McGlenn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rylee McLiam in the 41st minute of play. If Brazil Dunne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Ferrybank Utd were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Brazil Dunne to make the kick off. With a little luck, Barnacahoge's Alfred Duggan got control of the ball when Harrington Kirby tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ferrybank Utd's Gilbert McGlenn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rylee McLiam in the 54th minute of play. Gilbert McGlenn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blaithmeic Hughes in the 59th minute of the match. Blaithmeic Hughes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilbert McGlenn having to make a save. Rylee McLiam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Gilbert McGlenn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roland Gough during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Barnacahoge booed when Ferrybank Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roland Gough didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rylee McLiam struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Gilbert McGlenn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barnacahoge. Ferrybank Utd's Gilbert McGlenn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blaithmeic Hughes in the 79th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Ferrybank Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Rylee McLiam came free, but Gilbert McGlenn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Ferrybank Utd's Brazil Dunne sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfred Duggan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rylee McLiam succeeded in the game's 88th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. After recieving a nice pass, Barnacahoge's John Tracy tried to score from far away in the 102nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 103 minutes into the game, Rylee McLiam cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Gilbert McGlenn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
