Seating: 1785, VIP seats: 0) In the 7th minute, Breannain Lavine left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Drumreilly fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Rylee McLiam might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sameer Branson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rylee McLiam ran back to his position shaking his head. Dillon Dillon might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfred Duggan. Breannain Lavine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gordon Perth hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. 29 minutes into the match, Drumreilly's goal looked a bit too open when Rylee McLiam came free, but Sameer Branson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Blaithmeic Hughes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barnacahoge's supporters rose to their feet, but Blaithmeic Hughes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sameer Branson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ardán Kirby's late challenge caught a Barnacahoge's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ardán Kirby helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 37th minute of the game. One of Drumreilly:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Barnacahoge:s goal. John Tracy shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Sameer Branson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rylee McLiam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rylee McLiam to make the kick off. After 51 minutes of play, Drumreilly's Dillon Dillon made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfred Duggan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Blaithmeic Hughes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Sameer Branson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blaithmeic Hughes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rylee McLiam received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sameer Branson came out and tried to block the shot, but Rylee McLiam slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 59th minute. Blaithmeic Hughes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 64thth minute, Sameer Branson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a defensive mix-up in Drumreilly's zone, Rylee McLiam stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sameer Branson came out of the goal and Rylee McLiam tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 71 played minutes Drumreilly got a freekick which was hit by Lewis Prunty. When Barnacahoge's Rylee McLiam in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Drumreilly's goalie prevented a goal. Bivadi Matthews fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sameer Branson having to interfere. The supporters of Drumreilly booed when Barnacahoge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fachtna McIan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ardán Kirby didn't quite understand what happened when in the 96 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Barnacahoge's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
